The Clare Echo Subscription

in 2021 I helped the Clare Echo launch a subscription model that pay-walled certain articles. 

Subscribers would gain access to these articles and be able to read premium articles ad free.

Overview

Back in 2021 The Clare Echo decided to team together with Flip Pay to introduce a subscription model to the Clare Echo. This subscription service would be a monthly payment service and later the option of a yearly subscription was added.

The aim of this project was to increase company revenue by charging readers a small fee to read certain articles. The goal was to reach 500 subscribers within the first year.

 

My Role

My role in this project was to lead the design and user experience/user journey. Once the design and layout was configured it was then Flip-pays job to create the snippet of code and then I implemented it into the website.

I then created several pieces of artwork to promote across social media platforms and our website.

My role today is still ongoing with this project. There are constant bugs, changes and updates that need to be made to the project.

Why a Paywall?

The outcome of this project has boosted revenue dramatically since its inception. It has been a great success for the company and continues to grow daily with over 1000 subscribers now active.
